How we handle your data

We collect as little personal data as possible. This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. If you e-mail us, we use your message only to reply to you.

Visiting this website

This website does not place cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tools, and does not load fonts, scripts or other content from third parties. We do not build profiles of visitors.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type. Lusitro does not use this data to identify or follow visitors. Cloudflare acts as our processor and may process data outside the European Union, with safeguards required by the GDPR.

When you e-mail us

If you write to us, we receive your e-mail address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message. We use this only to answer you and to follow up on your request, based on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Our e-mail runs on Microsoft 365; Microsoft acts as our processor.

We keep e-mail for as long as the conversation needs it and delete it afterwards, unless we have to keep it longer by law, for example business correspondence that forms part of our records.

People featured on this website

Names, photos and medical background of the children on this website are shared with the consent of their parents. That consent can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us, after which we remove the information.

Donations and other websites

Donations are handled by Stichting Tikkertje, a separate foundation that is responsible for the data it processes; its own privacy statement applies. This also applies to other websites we link to, such as scientific publishers.

Sharing your data

We do not sell personal data and do not share it with others, except with the processors named above or when the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (in Dutch: AVG) you have the right to:

• see which personal data we hold about you;
• have it corrected or deleted;
• restrict or object to its use;
• receive your data in a usable format.

Send your request to mark@lusitro.com; we respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
